A number of our local casinos had a free buffet for veterans on Veterans Day. We went out to dinner tonight and ended up at one of these casinos in a sea of men wearing an array of hats signifying their service for our country. I sat there for a moment, feeling so much gratitude for the service and sacrifice that these men went through to secure the freedoms that we enjoy today. My husband took one look at me and just knew what I was thinking. I wish there had been a way, as I walked through that room, that I could have expressed my thanks to these veterans. So on this Veterans Day may I say thank you to all those who have served this country and are still serving it. May the Lord watch over you and your families and keep you safe.
